Free Amazon Prime- A Post from the Road

As I sit in the car on the long drive home for thanksgiving (no, I'm not the one driving) I started to think about awesome deals that I already know about that I could share. The first thing that came to mind was amazon prime.

Now I think amazon prime is a decent deal on its own. 74.99 a year for free two day shipping, 3.99 overnight shipping, access to a lot of shows and movies instantly for free, and access to the kindle owners lending library, which I will probably devote a price to on its own. What's even better? A free amazon prime membership!

Yes, there is a free version. The free version of amazon prime comes only with the shipping benefits, but that is great on its own. You can get these benefits by joining amazon mom or amazon student. I will post links when I get to an actual computer, but they are pretty easy to find. Amazon mom and amazon student are free to join. The program I have personally used is amazon mom. With amazon mom you get free two day shipping on anything sold by or shipped by amazon. You get two months of free amazon prime shipping benefits to begin with and after that for every $25 baby purchase you make, you get an additional month. Your purchase must be $25 to qualify for an additional month, and if your purchase is say $100 well then that is four free months. You can rack up free months like this up to a year's worth of free prime shipping benefits. And what is even better? Your free shipping benefits extend to any prime eligible items, not just baby products. So any Christmas presents you have to buy that qualify for prime will ship to you for free. And this is not an automatic renewal program. So once your Fred benefits run out they will not renew you on the plan that costs money. So they'd is nothing to cancel. Just enjoy.

Swagbucks- Earn prizes for searching the internet

Another great thing I have recently found is a website called Swagbucks.  Now, before you go sign up, please stick with me and read this, or at least go to the bottom of this post and use the link provided (oh what the heck, here is the link right here:  www.swagbucks.com/refer/tarahbelle2  ).  Swagbucks offers several ways to get prizes and gift cards for free. Yes, free. And, no, it is not a scam.  I cannot boast an imac computer as some people can, or a free ipad- I guess I am just not that good yet. But I have been able to get $75 in Amazon gift cards in 2 weeks of using swagbucks. It is pretty easy, only as time consuming as you want it to be and ABSOLUTELY FREE.  Here is how to earn:

1.  Use their search engine-  This is easy. Instead of using google, just use the swagbucks search engine. You won't get swag bucks every time, but you will get random swag bucks wins and you can score from 7-50 swag bucks. On Fridays you have a bigger chance of scoring the big bucks. I win 3 times a day on average, sometimes 4. Hey, you are searching the internet anyway, so why not get prizes to do it. An Amazon gift card worth $5 at the time of this post (not that I have ever seen it change) is 450 swagbucks.  500 swagbucks if you want to put a rush on it and get it the next day.  So just by searching alone you can get $10 a month in amazon gift cards.

2. Daily Polls- These are only good for 1 swag buck a day, but still, it takes you 5 seconds and it is worth 1 swagbuck.

3. NOSO- These are No Obligation Special Offers. You don't have to sign up for anything of them unless you want to. You just view about 3 or 4 special offers, click skip on all of them if you want, and voila! 2 more swag bucks for that day.

4. Surveys-  There are two places to find surveys. One is in the Trusted Surveys section. These are usually the best where you will find the most surveys, the highest paying, and the most reliable to get paid on.  You can fill out your profile on Trusted Surveys and make quite a few swag bucks just in that process alone.  The other types of surveys are found in the special offers section, which we will get to in a second. These I find to be less reliable, but sometimes you can earn a good 50+ swag bucks from them.

5. Special Offers- Swagbucks has a special offers section where you can complete offers to earn swag bucks. There are quite a few free ones, especially when you are starting out.  Most of the free ones involve signing up for a newsletter. If you do these, I recommend signing up for a second free e-mail account other than your primary and using this. I try to do this when I sign up for any newsletter because my primary email account gets junked up and I can't find important e-mails (like from professors and the like).  There are also special offers that involve free trials that you can cancel without being charged (if you are comfortable with that), as well as credit card offers (which if you are in the market for a new credit card you can score a ton of swagbucks here), and offers that involve a purchase. Sometimes these offers are great. I have spent $2 before to get enough swag bucks to get a $5 gift card, and in the process I got something cool that I spent $2.  Also, I was looking everywhere for wall decals for my son's room. Well, I got on swag bucks special offers one day and there was a wall decal company offer quite a few swagbucks for any purchase. Not only did I find EXACTLY what I was looking for, I found them for $13. You can't beat that considering my son's other wall decal cost $55 on etsy.  There are also offers in this section from places like Gap and Old Navy requiring a minimum purchase and you get swagbucks for it. This brings me to another method of earning...

6. Shop and Earn.  Swagbucks has a shop and earn page where you do just that. You shop and earn swag bucks for shopping. I don't recommend doing this just for the sake of getting swag bucks, but if you are going to shop online anyway, go to the page first, see if they are partners with swag bucks, and you will earn 2 swagbucks for every dollar that you were going to spend anyway. They are partnered with places such as Kohl's, Old Navy, and one of my personal favorites, gojane.com (awesome shoe deals here ladis).

7.  The Swagbucks toolbar-  Now, let me start by saying I normally don't download anything to my computer. I am just paranoid like that.  But I made an exception for this toolbar and I am glad that I did. It installs on your web browser (I personally use Firefox) much like the Google toolbar. You can basically get anywhere on the swagbucks website using the toolbar and it has a convenient search box for you to use. Not only that, but you usually get at least 1swagbuck a day just for having it installed.  And seeing it reminds you to use their search engine so you can win, you guessed it, more swagbucks.

8. Swagbucks tv-  Do you like celebrity gossip? Fashion? Do it yourself home repair/upgrades? Animals? Chances are if you like it and you would watch a news or youtube video about it, you can watch a video about it on swagbucks. And guess what? You earn swagbucks for doing it. You get 3 swagbucks for every 10 videos you watch (although if you just wait for the ad before the video to play you can usually click on another video and still get credit for having watched that one).  You can max out at 75 swagbucks for watching swagbucks tv a day (currently you can actually max out at 150).  And most of the videos are quite enjoyable.  Want an update on Ashton Kutcher's divorce or Justin Bieber's baby mama drama? Go to swagbucks and watch it.

9. Codes- Keep an eye on the swagbucks twitter, facebook, and blog pages for codes that they will release for free swagbucks.

10. Tasks- Tasks are my least favorite. Usually they are the most time consuming and pay the least. But they are a way to earn extra bucks.

11. Games- Chances are if you like a game, you can find it on swagbucks and win swagbucks for playing.

12. Referrals- Refer your friends and you can get matching swagbucks for every time your friend searches and wins. You won't get matching swagbucks for everything they do, and this does max out at 1000 swagbucks total. But you can get some, and your friend now gets to earn swagbucks too.

Well, hopefully that is enough to get you started on earning with swag bucks. You usually get 30 swagbucks for signing up to help you get started. Now if you would do me the favor of signing up under my referral link as a thank you for giving you all of this awesome information that I had to learn on my own:

Bear With Me

Also, one last note. Please bear with me. I am new to actually blogging. Well, not completely true, I had a Blog as part of a college course a while back, but that was a long time ago, and if it was for school it doesn't really count does it?

Nomorerack.com Free YMI $20 E-Voucher

First, I must advice you on nomorerack.com.  Normorerack.com has been around for a year and one day (seriously, their first birthday was yesterday).  They are among the new popular discount sites. You can score all kinds of great things for super cheap, and they usually have at least one free deal a day. Shipping is usually $2 (sometimes less, but I have never seen it be more than that).  Recently (as in yesterday) the site had a security breach.  This breach was a technical issue, not a hacker, to my knowledge.  Customers were logging in and seeing other customers information in their accounts instead of their own. Nomorerack's official statement is that this issue occurred in the wee hours of the morning and that their team was able to resolve the issue within 15 minutes.  They have stated that no credit card information was seen by other customers, although some customers are claiming they were able to see credit card information. However, I think this information was not full credit card numbers. So if you use Nomorerack.com, please know that this has happened. And if you feel uncomfortable entering your credit card information, do like I do whenever it is available and checkout using Paypal. That is an option on Nomorerack.com

Now that you know that, let me tell you about the free e-voucher. It is for $20 and you can get up to 3 (although you cannot stack them and use them all in one transaction at ymijeans.com). These are online only and can be used at ymijeans.com  YMI has some sales right now and you can get some pairs of jeans for 9.99 after shipping using this voucher. Pretty good price. They also sell outerwear and they have products available in juniors, plus, and little girls sizes.  You can get up to 3 vouchers, they are completely free, can be used on any purchase, and are immediately available upon checkout. So go check it out and get yours before they are all gone.  If you are not a member yet, do me a favor and sign up through this link:

Introduction

I have been a bargain hunter for a long time. Well before the big couponing show came on TV, although I do admit I have not been a big "couponer" since before the show.  I am constantly finding good deals online. I have decided to expand my bargain hunting into the realm of so called "extreme couponing," but I will admit, I am not going to walk out of a store with $2,000 in groceries for $3.00.  However, I might sometimes get stuff free online and I often save over 50% online. I am constantly posting deals to my facebook page, but for the most part, my facebook friends are not bargain hunters. So I decided to start a blog where I can post these deals and hopefully someone who wants them will be able to use them. I will post most coupon codes that I find, who is having a good online clearance sale, and other deals that I see on discount sites. Hopefully someone will find this of use to them.
